    Deve's Encyclopedia Guide (Remade)

    So as the original author decided to remove the guide from public and ask for $5 to get it in private, I decided to use my skills and remake the guide with complete accuracy.

    BDO and GTX 1080ti (this fixed my poor performance issue)

    Long story... I bought a GTX 1080 Ti for my laptop (external graphics amplifier) and I was getting amazing performance at 1440p and Remastered graphics maxed out. Locked 60 FPS even in Altinova/Velia which I thought was impossible but apparently not!

    Until yesterday... when I did a fresh install of Windows 10 1903. I had upgraded to 1903 from 1809 a few weeks back without issues but on this fresh install, no matter how many different drivers or settings I tried, BDO was only utilizing 30% of my CPU and 50-60% of the GPU. In fact, the GPU temps were sitting at under 60F. Even at 720p and the lowest settings possible, my FPS would hover around 40. Switch to 1440p and High End mode and it would still be around 40.

    Then out of desperation... I began messing around with my Ad blocker and then Windows Defender, going setting by setting until I got to the Core Isolation feature. As soon as I turned that off, it told me to restart the computer. After it came back, I launched BDO and voila! GPU utilization jumped back to 100% and I was back to getting a locked 60FPS on max settings even in towns. I then turned it on again to verify and my BDO performance went to shit immediately...

    TL;DR

    Turn off core isolation in Windows Defender as it is most likely interfering with Xigncode or some other BDO process. Thought I would share this possible fix if you guys are having similar issues.

    Best PC for BDO?

    Hello BDO community

    I'm considering buying one of the PC's below, mainly for BDO and maybe some GW2 or Archage. I can't afford anything with better specs than this, but would still like an enjoyable, not overheating, and decent looking experience xD. I'm coming from a budget laptop with GTX 1050 Ti and i5 7th gen. I'm going to use my LG 27UK650-w 60hz 4K 5 m/s free sync monitor until I can afford better.

    I'm not a tech expert by any means, but know that these games are not the well optimized and cpu heavy.. therefore decent rigs are required to run them properly..

    Which of the setups below do you guys think would be the better buy? If any of them? Will they cook like my laptop on medium/high settings without remastered? Will my monitor be a problem?

    they are going for the exact same price, from two different retailers. Any input is appreciated and sorry for poop English and long read

    So, i want to reroll workers until i get a skill for wood crates on the city of Grana, i 've search a little on google about this, i found out that only artisian can get the +3 one... What i could not find is how i should do this...

    Should i buy and see if the first skill is the one i'm looking for? or should i level up the worker a little bit? how much should i level it? Or maybe there is a better way than this... idk.

    Inventory/storage space gone missing.

    Has anyone ever dealt with storage/inventory space decreased? I have logged onto my witch today and I noticed that I'm missing inventory and storage space. My storage is now 66/56 when that should be 66/73. Is there anyway to fix that?

    Smashing pets (Cats) and Getting nothing but KARMA RECOVERY.

    I was looking to improve my T4 Valencia cat last week, so I started smashing T1 Cats(900 Pearl) into it to change the skills that I previously had. I was hoping for + Cooking, Alchemy, or Any Decent Life Skill. Instead I got +1 Luck, +1 Fishing, and 11 smashes out of 12 KARMA RECOVERY.

    That's right, I pissed away about $100 smashing dumb ass cats together. I feel stupid as hell, but serious... at first I thought I was just having bad luck getting decent life skills. Now, it makes me wonder if Pearl Abyss is just taking advantage of people by giving them shitty pet skills and hoping they will keeps spending pearls to change them.

    Anyone else run into this? Especially with Karma Recovery popping up every time you smash?

    New BDO player here that could use some help.

    Hi there guys so as my title suggest I could use some help with the optimization of the game. Obviously I have many other questions about the game but let's start with me being able to play the game comfortably in the first place.

    So these are my PC specs:
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6Gb
    RAM: 8GB
    CPU: Intel i5-4690 @3.50 GHz
    Idk if anything else is necessary.

    The main reason I'm asking this is because I'm not really tech savvy when it comes to this so I was hoping someone could help. Of course I am trying to achieve a constant 60 fps or more but I heard some zones are really extreme and hard to get a smooth 60. Thank you for your help

    PS. I have a 4K monitor so 1080p doesn't look as peachy and I would love to play the game in 4K 60 fps (which I know is probably impossible) or at least a stable 60 with 1440p. Hopefully the latter is achievable. Thank you once again for all your help.

    Is there any kind of an enemy "simulator" to practice pvp?

    I would like to practice on my own pace, I dont expect anyone to spend 3 hours with me on BA every day. Do we have something that we can test stuff on, that reacts like another player? (like a mob, NPC)

    Horse taming PS4

    So I've looked at all the videos and read everything, and at this point I've used almost 80 capture ropes, and every time even if I'm within the right distance and everything the second I hit R1 it just fails, I think I've seen the mini game once and it didn't even show for more than a second before it failed.

    So what could I be doing wrong, or is horse taming on PS4 just super jank buggy?

    When FPS goes below 50 i have some 0,5s-1,5s" screen freezes, they are small but constant, any fix? even if i put all in prereset small settings dosnt work, happens the same

    Just an honest question, I understand it hasn't been working for a massively long time now but I'm genuinely curious about this. When it used to work I enjoyed using it a bunch but it's frustrating that nothing is being done to fix this.
