    New Discord Server: BDO Rare Treasures

    Hello everyone, Pansy here.

    My friends and I made a new Discord server dubbed BDO Rare Treasures. As its namesake, the focus of this server is to provide easy to access resources for all Rare Treasure items of BDO. You can join by using the link down below. Once you join, you can directly view all the resource sections.     Global Lab Patch Notes 8th Oct - Aakman and Hystria Rework, Gatekeeper changes, Sea Monster Furniture

    Highlights for this week:

    • Sea Monsters can drop furniture items to make Chandeliers - craft them at a Level 3 Furniture Worskhop
    • New Ranch with Cows has been added to Kamaslyvia (west of Grana)
    • Red battlefield respawn location has been moved further away from the wall
    • The traps at Aakman Temple have been reworked and killing them will now reduce monster DP
    • Hystria "alert system" has been added which is a random event bringing a wave of monsters to defeat
    • Gatekeepers have been reworked and now have a notice message for nearby players when they spawn
    • Gorgo's Nightmare summon scroll has been added to Basilisk
    • Class bug fixes and cooldown display for Emergancy Escape added (V) - no big buffs or changes to classes this week!

    Is there a chart that explains which clothes are best for Afk Fishing? I Could'nt find one.

    I have both silver +4 and Tet Blue Mastery clothes and have no idea which is better to be using. I understand my mastery provides more relics and orange fish, but the exp % overnight seems the same.

    Appreciate any guidance.

    Fix Bugs on Succ Lahn!!

    While succ lahn has been left out of several recent balance patches, the bugs on her continued to grow with each patch. I will list only 2 here

    1)RNG cast on salpuri. This happened at least 2 months or so ago. Salpuri rngically fails to cast, I mash my key to ensure cast but if cast time is rngically increased to 1s, I get grabbed stunned kicked yada etc

    2)this is the straw that broke the camel's back. Phantom dance effect is being rng applied during a duel with players. The people I duelled with complained some of their attacks phased right through me while I am not dancing. Similarly, my attacks rngically phase right through them as well.

    I have enough rng failing gear, horses, crystals. Can my main character not be rng itself. Also, succ lahn has not been touched in balance patches (while other classes have all been buffed), it is illogical to have increasing bugs on her.

    Well, I know most of you are having a hard time patching the game after every update, I know I have, all my friends too.

    And the way I fix it is by going to the task manager and ending all of the antivirus tasks, I told my friends that they should do this, and it fixed the problem for them too, I hope this works for you guys too. Happy Gaming everyone

    New hunting on Ody. Some thoughts

    So some people have engaged in teh new hunting additions in Ody and there seem to be some mixed results and feelings about how it's changed things. From the insanelyt low drop rate of teh Breaths you need for the Master Matchlock, to the new abilities being more annoying than helpful to the Ody hunting mobs giving much less resources than most, as well as the meat/hide drops not being effected by mastery.

    So here are my thoughts on the matter:

    The new abilities: They are nice for some, but personally I hate them and they have resulted in my death several times. Mainly the move that has you crouch. When your swarmed by wolves and need to reposition constantly, this is a death sentence. The standing up animation is too slow and feels very unresponsive. The slide and shoot one is nice, but same thing, ends in a crouch with all teh cons that come from that position. Also how you get them being with a quest but not letting you know how it will change up how you hunt is BEYOND annoying. If I had of known that this change would happen, I would never of done the quest. The Quality of Life is NOT an improvement, it's a massive downgrade in the enjoyment of hunting, resulting in more fustration.

    Proposed fix: Make all the abilities lockable /unlockable just like all other abilities you gain access to like with player skills, ships and mounts. That way if you want to just have the slide enabled but others disabled, you can. If you want them all on or off, you can also do this

    The mobs in Ody: The wolves are insane for starters. They call in 10+ buddies, mob you and take a while to kill with the artisan +10 matchlock. I'm hearing even a Master +10 it's still a bit of a struggle. Also their corpses despawn INSANELY fast. To the point of you finish killing 6 wolves and the first you kills has or is about to despawn before you can harvest it.

    Talking about harvesting them, their drops are kind of underwhelming. 9 meat max on a gather even with 1500+ mastery is not cool when you get twice that at least on moth other huntable mobs int he game. Mastery works there as you still get the Green/Blue/Yellow mastery enabled hide drops, but the meats etc seems lacking. Not sure if this is intended or if it's simply some sort of bug/glitch. Kakao has been approached to give an answer regarding this.There is no possible fix if it's intended, but it just seems...off

    Breaths: These are needed (5) to make the Master matchlock. You get 1 for doing the quest that enables the new moves that most are ...questionable...about their usefulness These things drop rate is insanely low. Some are getting them in 15 minutes, others are going 12+ hours with 4,000+ kills and not getting a single one, even with 1,500+ mastery. These do seem to be effected by mastery however as 901+ you can get 2-3 in a single drop, with lower than that resulting in 1-2. Personally I'm at 10 hours and not a single one with 3,400 wolves and deer killed. It's annoying but it is what it is.

    Apparently in the global labs these dropped more often but then it got nerfed to this level. Not too sure why this would happen but it is what it is. Possibly tweaking the drop rate or enable them to be bought with hunter seals (500 per...whatever just another option for obtaining these).

    All in all the hunting changes are ...ok. They need work and improvements but having the new gun will be nice, the drops make Ody hunting not at all rewarding and everyone is just going to be going right back to Kama for Feather Wolves as soon as they get their Breaths for the Master matchlock. This is disappointing but we knew this for months. Improvements are needed basically here as hunting in Ody will be dead content in a month when everyone that wants/needs the Master matchlock has it and has moved back to feather wolves.

    No idea what the point of this post is/was but just felt I would share some info with those tht may be interested in hunting in Ody or hunting in general.

    Tips for starting lifeskilling

    Hello everyone!

    I'm a pure grinder, but sometimes I feel bored of grinding. I was thinking of starting lifeskkilling, but i don't have any gear or high money available for starting.

    I've read every single guide in the internet and every yt video, but I'm still lost.

    Right now I have 309 CP and 290 energy.

    What would you recommend me?

    I have an alter with artisan farming, but that's all. I'd like to lifeskill on my alter, so the energy refills faster.

    What could be a good start with not too much investment and which is the way to go (gathering, fishing... etc)

    Is there any way of doing good money in my situation? I have 261 kut AP, so you can know how much I do grinding.

    Thanks in advance! I'm really struggling with grinding a lot of hours in a row. Hope you can help me!

    I play at avrg 160-180 ping (EU). Currently 273/340 (K) Guardian. I want to reroll into a class that can excel at 1v1 (defending grinding zones) and decent at PvE.

    A female class would be preferable, but not a must.
