    The season server will continue to be improved and operated in the future, but it will not proceed this spring.

    New Class Momentum?

    Did they start adding momentum/inertia at a different rate for new classes? Movement on older classes feels INSANELY sticky compared to SAGE. I've read that this issue exists on Nova and Hash as well. Is this intentional? Spamming A D A D A D on my zerker or ninja feels worlds different when compared to newer class. Any insight?

    EDIT: With some additional testing, I also realized that SOMETIMES you can shift direction without a delay. When walking with A there is a build up but when shifting directions with D the movement shift is instant. Essentially, one direction is instant and the other requires a momentum delay. It seems that the instant direction change can only occur if you change directions quickly. So far, I have not found a class created BEFORE Archer that exhibits this change.

    (Affected Classes) = NOVA (randomly) HASH (consistently) SAGE (consistently)

    Example - "A" (One Mississippi) "D" will be instant (no momentum). "A" (Two Mississippi) "D" will result in momentum delay on both ends. You CANNOT avoid the momentum twice in a row regardless of how fast you alternate A/D. Older classes avoid this entirely, resulting in a miniature strafe. The miniature strafe cannot be accomplished on Hash, Sage, and Nova. Nova is inconsistent.

    PSA: Campsite pricing issue. PA won't help if you buy the wrong one

    I'm a newer player and have been enjoying playing on the seasonal servers so I thought I'd support the game by buying a Naphart Campsite since a lot of people seemed to recommend getting one while on sale.

    The problem is they are selling both the campsite by itself and as a bundle for the SAME price (3920 Pearls). I didn't know this until an hour after I bought it and Pearl Abyss customer service basically said there's nothing they can do for me.

    Hope this saves someone else from making the same mistake I did!

    I go AFK for a few minutes and my shai starts screaming like a car alarm. Is there a way to stop her from doing this? It's pretty obnoxious and a little ridiculous. Other than that, I love my shai.

    FYI if you are new and haven't done this season, there is still time if you can devote a decent amount of time to playing.

    Season will only take you 2-3 days to complete if you know what you are doing, a week if not, if you put in the time you can finish season with full pen tuvala right now, season is a huge jump and you don't want to try and gear yourself to old softcap without doing season, It's a horrendous process that will likely make you quit. Trust me when I say you can easily do it if you start today. Join a guild and ask for advice, read guides.

    Important things to note for season:

    Lookup enhancing guides for tuvala, and be patient, rushing it and using inefficient stacks will make your experience worse.

    Don't force your tuvala to duo using the yellow stones, only force to tri.

    Don't worry about doing accessories, they gave out capotia accessories in login rewards, if you have those you do not need seasonal accessories, these are the biggest sink of your ore, stacks, and are a waste of your time if you have the login rewards (which you should have and still have time to get)

    Focus on completing the pass asap, especially the bosses.

    Make sure you accept a weekly quest and take blackstones as the reward, as well as do regional quests, you can find a guide for the regionals by googling BDO regional quests.

    You can rent gear to put your season character at soft cap if you have the cp, it costs 50 cp a piece, google Nesser gear.

    Use artisans when repairing your gear, you will only need 2 tuvala ore per repair and you will likely never run out.

    Japanese Fairy Personality + Voice

    Hi everyone,

    The last time I played BDO we couldn't switch voiceover language in the settings. I'm rerolling my fairy and had some trouble finding Japanese personality previews when searching in English. Sorted it out eventually and figured I'd post this for the search engine spiders to pick up. Hope it helps anyone in a similar situation.

    This is the video I'm using for reference.

    Some additional notes and wildly subjective comparisons:

    • I was fishing for Meticulous and did not get Joyful (元気) or Prim (キザな). I'm confident these pairings are correct based on translation, but I've noted where I couldn't personally verify.
    • Joyful vs. 元気 (genki): EN is positive and friendly, whereas JP feels more playful and energetic. Childhood friend archetype that occasionally tries to act mature.
    • Meticulous vs. 優しい (yasashi): EN is mature and teasing. Look, I've done localization work before. It's hard and I have a lot of respect for translation teams. However I will remain devastated that I've missed out on years of ara ara onee-chan energy. Bokensha-chan wants to be pampered. :(
    • Prim vs. キザな (kizana): I think this set had the largest difference. EN was begrudging, distant. Classical tsundere. JP wasn't tsun tsun at all and felt more prim and proper like a friendly respectful ojou-sama.
    • Aloof vs. 寡黙 (kamoku): EN was very much aloof and distant. Not unfriendly, just serious and direct with words. JP is likewise short, but felt a little more approachable. I'd say it's like a no nonsense tax accountant versus the shy girl in the library archetype.
    • Serene vs. 静か (shizuka): My gut feel is that EN was a little more silent than JP but I don't have an anechoic chamber available to do a proper comparison.

    tldr: You can kind of see how both sets may have originated from a similar set of directions, and then how each team/actor interpreted and presented the Laila character differently.

    tldr2: anime fairy.
