    I really like Orwen's story, so I want to share it. :) I'll tell her story in multiple parts, this is the first one. I hope people who like the lore will appreciate this post.

    Part 1

    Orwen is the daughter of the Immortal Alchemist (a luthraghon), and a human mother from Iliya island. She was a small baby when Caphras, her father left the island. Soon her mother passed away, taken by the Black Death. She was reared by her grandmother Diega. As a child Orwen was bullied by others, because of her elven appearance. One day Diega, the chief of Iliya island took her to Kamasylvia, and gave her the only book Caphras wrote in the human language, his journal.

    In Kamasylvia she was placed in the hands of a Vedir, Opencilla, who became her nanny. Although the Ganelles rejected her, because of her mixed heritage, two people still cared about her, her nanny, and Princess Catherine.

    Catherine was the third princess of the Ganelles, daughter of Oriana Ornette. She wanted to restore the Kamasylve's Light. But to revive the divine tree, she needed to gather the songs of the tree oldest spirit of Kamasylvia, but her quest was impossible, because Narc (one of the ancient spirits) left the Kamasylvia with the Ahib.

    Fortunately one of the other spirits, Antis, revealed how Catherine could replace the third song. She had to find the Purest Soul's Light, that seeped out of the Root Realm, and had to drench the Field Of Yinaros with it. The spirit Antis directed Catherine to Orwen, whose name means "the key" in the ancient language of the spirits. (Also Caphras came from the Root Realm)

    Catherine tried to gain Orwen's trust, but it was very difficult at first, because the little half-elf was very withdrawn, and mistrustful. But the princess was relentless, and after a time her kindness melted the ice of Orwen's heart, and they became best friends. Catherin's affection became sincere.

    The princess decided to abort her plan, because she didn't want to sacrifice Orwen, but rumors got out, and everyone found out that the half-elf was the key, beside Orwen. Fearing the Ahib, or Amelia (queen of Kamasylvia at that time) would hunt the daughter of Caphras down for her blood, banished Orwen from Kamasylvia. Opencilla gave Orwen to the priestess Herawen, who took her out of Kamasylvia. That day, Catherine was assassinated by the Ahib, and Opencilla was punished by queen Amelia, who found out Orwen left the elven homeland. Opencilla kept Caphras' journal, and joined the Ahib.

    Orwen was heartbroken, because she didn't know why her best friend turned against her, and kicked her out of Kamasylvia.

    They should totally add a new emotes to the game, something like dancing or interactive hamdshakes, hugs etc. Ive spent over 200hours just exploring, screenshoting and enjoying fauna and flora BDO world has to offer but yet, it feels a little empty. Players are just minding their own buisness, there is no place for a nice integration with other black desert travelers. Thats just my opinion tho, for some of you guys black desert is a game of countin that AP, AD and cash and thats totally fine! 100+ players playin on 1 server and yet i feel alone im this big world

    PA, don't let such a good game like BDO on hands like REDFOX GAMES....

    SA server have atm (gm corruption/bad translations/bad support/bad servers)

    We just want a new publisher that can solve for us all these problems !! (Or at least some of them)

    Considering Archer as my main. No research.

    Just started getting into BDO and I've been testing out every class. I have yet to try Warrior, Valkry, Ranger, Ninja/Kunoichi and Maehwa/Musa. My current list of standard characters: Tamer lvl 55, Sage lvl 37, Archer lvl 30, Shai lvl 22, Berserker lvl 13 and Guardian lvl 6. My trial characters are Dark Night, Nova and Hashashin.

    I really like playing Archer. It feels the most natural to me and skimming/gliding while kiting is the funnest mechanic I've used in an MMO in a long time.

    As I've been learning the skills, I kept thinking how great a move meteor strike would be in PvP. So I decided to see how well it stacks in PvP and did some preliminary reading. Surprise, surprise, it's been nerfed. So much so, it sounds like Archer is no longer a viable PvP class—bummer.

    I really wanted to make this class my main.

    Where should I go next if I like ranged classes? Is Ranger good? I've heard it's hard to master, but I've enjoyed Tamer despite the grief it gets. Nova's animations are super cool too, but they're not ranged—ah Archer, this sucks man. You need to be better.

    To me he looks like completely broken. But i just can't be sure if its me being noob.

    He can just spam iframe during pvp and its impossible to see where he is actually going, not like sorc or anything. He can cast half of his skill before the tp, then go in tp, and complete his casting after tp is over so the fact that his skills are slow kinda do not apply any more. and he has very reliable cc from very long range. he just keeps spamming iframes and trying to hit his skills, like, you dodge-block 10 times maybe, but 11th time he gets you and its over.

    The whole pvp turns into whackamole. if you somehow get lucky with guessing where he is gonna show up and hit him right after his SA, maybe then you get to kill him but as i said. it is almost luck at this point.

    And when it comes to PVE he is really doing great like pulling 5.5k+ in stars end with 270ish ap without agris. it is almost busted.

    Looking to get into Bartering, should I stay 49 to avoid being pirated?

    Hi just looking to start getting into bartering and I've heard mixed reports of pirating happening a lot, or not at all. So I'm just curious what people think and whether in any barterers experiences they do find being pked an issue and if I should keep my barter alt at 49 or not.

    Max Quantity bug - is there a fix?

    Once in a while I will go to sell my items or use the warehouse and try to transfer a stack of like 10 items, and the max quantity is checkmarked. But rather than auto displaying 10, it displays 0.

    Or if I have a stack of 14, it will display 4. Then I need to uncheck max quantity and re-check it for it to display the proper max quantity.

    This becomes really tedious because it happens for every item I try to store. Going to character select and back doesn't help, changing servers doesn't either. Is the only way to fix this to close the client and restart it?

    Region Selection Issue

    So I have this issue where it wont let me select a region. When I boot up the BDO client on steam, It prompts me the play button without the option to change region. I can currently play but which servers am I in? I cant play with any of my friends since they are on the EU server. None of my servers say EU.

    This aura around my character

    Hello,

    Sometimes my character has this weird black/red aura around her, what is it? I enjoy the look but can't figure out where it comes from, I thought it might be a skill effect or something but it appears even when I'm mostly afk in town and sometimes disappears during combat. What gives?
