    hope this works as reference that a coconut can fix movement for new classes ( i know we got somethign today but this is what in my case i really want) Also gives new classes old running animation/ idle and not that copy pasted guardian one that doesnt make sense in other classes.

    FPS = DPS wasn't addressed in the letter. REMINDER that uncapped FPS is a major problem that causes desync and RUINS pvp.

    EDIT: I'M NOT SAYING TO CAP THE FPS. I'M SAYING THE ANIMATION SPEED AND SKILL BEHAVIOUR SHOULD BE THE SAME REGARDLESS OF FPS. LIKE EVERY NORMAL GODDAMN GAME. Be it 60, 144 or 600.

    So they addressed a lot of good stuff in the developer letter, it's great and all, but left out one of the most important ones, which must be fixed if they are planning to release ranked arenas. FPS affecting your animation speed, which not only makes many classes much stronger, but ultimately causing major desyncs.

    • If you even grabbed or CCed a player, he lies knocked down in front of you, you start hitting him, he suddenly is lying 20 metres away. Yup, it's most likely uncapped FPS.
    • If you dashed away with an iframe, but still got teleported back into a grab. It's likely to be the FPS again.
    • If you see a warrior (or many other classes) just going crazy 20 skills per second. Yup, FPS again.

    We can blame the players for using potato mode for better FPS, but ultimately it's PA's fault with their engine, which they failed to fix for years.

    Dungeons, new continents, battlefields, new classes - it can all wait, fix your game at the base level first please. Because at this moment PvP comes down to luck who can desync more.

    And of course - desync can be sometimes caused by lag, of course. This is harder to fix. Synchronizing the players positions many times per second between server and client can be taxing on the bandwidth, but should be considered at least for the arena environment, even if it's too much for the open world and sieges.

    But I think the FPS thing comes first. BDO is a nice looking game and we shouldn't be forced to play on potato mode just to have a chance in PvP.

    I was looking forward to the changes they announced for the new classes where they would change the "momentum" they have when you start and stop moving.

    But today patch did not make them feel responsible like the old classes, instead you now have a mix of sluggish and kinda of normal.

    I recorded both videos today after the patch, on both videos i am just spamming the A nd D keys, the difference is that on the second video i wait the mometun animation to finish before changing direction, after that i can spamm the keys with no problem

    There's nothing quite like the extremely long (and sometimes frustrating) arc of progression in BDO--that satisfaction of planning, grinding, enhancing, lifeskilling, to reach something for so long, and then to finally achieve it. It's just so satisfying seeing your damage vs monsters/players go up. No other game provides that sense of satisfaction from truly long term progression that I've found so far.

    GPU Usage switches from 100% to 50% every 5 minutes

    Hey everyone!

    I looked around quite a bit and have not found anyone talking about this so in writing this, I hope somebody can help me. Ever since I installed my RTX 2060 I have been dropping FPS due to GPU usage dropping from 100% to ~50% every 5 minutes on the dot. It will literally be at 100% usage for 5 minutes and after that, ~50% usage for 5 minutes before going back to 100% and starting the cycle again. At first I thought it was thermal throttling, but it doesn't seem like that as I'm pretty sure the clock speed would be decreasing which it doesn't, and I'm not sure if it would fluctuate at exactly every 5 minutes as that just seems odd. Also note that this is only happing in BDO and no other game.

    I have tried uninstalling the GPU's drivers through DDU and reinstalling them, but that did not work.

    I do not have the low power option enabled on either my PC's settings nor my BDO settings.

    My specs are as follows:

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 @ 4.2 GHz

    GPU: GeForce RTX 2060

    RAM: 2x 8GB sticks @ 3.6 Ghz

    Mobo: B450 Tomahawk Max

    Cant think of what else to put, so you need anymore information, just ask!

    Now, I am running Windows 11, and I know many people are going to say could possibly be the problem, but I just want to make sure there isn't something else I can do to fix this. I also would be confused if the version of windows was the culprit as it is only affecting BDO. Thanks guys!

    Do i need to play on season servers to get season gear and related stuff?

    New player here so i am sorry if it is a stupid question. I just searched about the season system in bdo and i wanted to know can i get season gear and challenges and these special blackstones if i play on olvia servers? Since it has 200% exp boost instead of 100% on season servers.
