| Game Randomly crashing to desktop without error Posted: 14 Nov 2019 03:59 PM PST I started playing bdo after half a year break again 2 days ago but i noticed that my game seems to be crashing without an error report. Sometimes it runs for 5 hours without crashing and sometimes it crashes 2 times in half an hour. Basically doing things for me afk is impossible. Any solution for this problem ? Ever post I see is like "RIP BDO", or my favorite. "Enjoy BDO you still have two to three years to enjoy it". You people are acting like BDO is gone once Crimson Desert is live. BDO is not going anywhere. It's still their flagship titles with CDO joining it. BDO is still a baby in the mmo world and still has a lot of growing and development yet. | Crimson Desert was presented poorly Posted: 14 Nov 2019 05:44 AM PST There's been a lot of theory-crafting over the past week or so and I realize this has been talked about ad nauseum. Now the trailer has been released and it gives a bit more insight but not to the degree where we can make a concise or definitive opinion. So I just wanted to give my take on it and have a sensible, mature conversation if this post warrants it. Pearl Abyss showcased a multitude of games yesterday and during the event, I noticed each producer made sure they tacked on the "MMORPG" label multiple times. They are aware that the community who supports P.A. looks for this buzzword so I strongly believe that while there will be multiplayer elements (such as warring mercenary factions & seeing other characters), this will be more along the lines of RPG rather than MMO. The information they provided was sparse and most importantly, some of it conflicted with what the trailer presented. We saw But there was no magic. There seemed to be no wonder. There was no diversity in weaponry. There was a shadowy figure wielding 2 Khopesh but other than that and a musket pistol, a lot of the weapons seemed the like typical crude axes, swords and basic shields of yore. It felt very dark fantasy, which is ok. The whole "MMORPG" feels like a blanket label they're loosely tossing around which will cause some confusion and discord later down the line. But they're being tight lipped about it. I'm sure a lot of us were just as confused after the presentation as we were before. But they need to clarify what the game actually is and will be. I know we're expecting to play as a cast of those characters so where does our individualism come into play? Will it be a case of different menus? Story mode then in another menu a create-a-merc where we pvp against opposing factions? Who knows. We'll have to wait until they're ready to release more information, which is fine. Lastly- When BDO was released, it was called "Black Desert Online" not Black Desert. We as the community decided to voluntarily throw the "Online" in Crimson Desert when they've done no such thing. PA refers to BDO as BDO. That's a key point to take from all of this as well. Only time will tell how this develops and im all sure we're as insatiable for more info as ever. And i also bought a house in Calpheon which have a mushroom factory but i can't put the worker to craft it, even though i already put the crafting materials in the storage of that city.. What am i doing wrong here? Also, how do i get new workers? i have 65 contribution points and i have no idea of where or how to spend them.. [link] [comments] |
