Someday we will be able to play as an otter?

    Posted: 13 May 2020 06:54 PM PDT

It's an exciting year to have already a new class and another coming up. I wonder if we will ever have otter as a class (something like Shai but fishing and cooking as their specialties). A cute male otter, please?

(And we also have faduses, orcs, goblins, dwarves... many humanoid races for NPCs in-game and they are all missed opportunities!)

Pen liverto worth hanging on to?

    Posted: 13 May 2020 06:53 PM PDT

So I got a Penn Liverto trying to make a Penn stack and it doesn't seem too bad tbh, compared to my tet kzarka its like 9ap more for 20less acc. Should I give up on making a penn kzarka and hold onto my liverto till I can buy a tet black star?

    Need to change cooking.

    Posted: 13 May 2020 09:13 PM PDT

I feel like the current method for cooking is clunky. Having to stack up utensils in our homes, pull out broken ones and replace them is just... bad.

My suggestion for a change would be to make the 'station' permanent and mostly cosmetic outside of being the interface for picking your recipe, etc. Then create actual "cooking utensils" that go in the characters tool slot. they could keep all the utensil recipes the same as far as I care, the durabilities, etc, could all be the same. Maybe lower the weight :p

The durability loss per craft would just move to your tool slot and you could more easily swap those out while doing large batches of cooking, etc.

This also paves the way for them to add more advanced utensils, possibly repairable ones, or jsut fancier ones with different stats or modifications.

I mostly just want to not have to maintain 2 homes, one I cook in and one I actually decorate the way I want and to avoid having to pick up and place these damn things multiple times just for 1 good day of cooking.

Ive been watching videos and reading for too long, please ELI5

    Posted: 13 May 2020 04:23 PM PDT

I've been really enjoying BDO as an MMORPG but the more I research the more I get confused.
ATM I am LVL 50~ so I'm still very new. But this is very different from what I am used to. I think the main issue is when I'm watching videos or reading guides they constantly throw around terms or gear names casually and them I'm more confused

    Really my big questions are:
    - whats the main way of gearing? (buy it, drops)
    - what are lifeskills?

    - why are pets so essential?

    - I feel like I have alot of silver, when should I start to worry about it and what can I do about it?

    - do world bosses just spawn in or are they triggered?

I want to try drag a few friends into the game, so if I cant explain things to them then I cant help them.

Least Popular classes in this game and why?(2020)

    Posted: 13 May 2020 07:24 PM PDT

After coming back Rangers and Kuno seemed to have gone poof hard to find. Is there a reason for this? I thought they were great siege classes, not anymore? I don't like playing popular classes but at the same time I don't want to play something that means I've already lost before the fight has started. Top 5 least popular classes?

edit: Ok apparently i'm blind and wizards and witches are popular now.

    Witchard dagger stab appreciation

    Posted: 13 May 2020 06:03 AM PDT

Can all us witchards take the time to truly admire the amazing in-depth off hand that is the dagger and the amazing selection of abilities with it those being:

    Dagger stab

Lets all take the time to truly admire this really well thought out sub weapon that witchards rely on in their combos so much. Truly the most meta sub weapon of all the classes.

Calling all Shais! RABAM discussion time!

    Posted: 13 May 2020 09:41 AM PDT

Hello my fellow shai players, i would like for us to discuss the 4 new rabam skills and which ones we think are the better options and why.

    The skills:

    Vitclari:

Over there! - An orb that follows an enemy player or targets mobs. Does damage and pulses debuff every 3 seconds. In PvE can aggro mobs but not hold aggro for you once you are close enough.

Sharing is Caring! - An orb that heals allies once every 7 seconds, can be aimed at enemy or ally player to tag to them, otherwise it will try to follow a nearby player around.

Both orbs are killable in PvE and PvP, so any AoE spells their RAPID doom. I believe both orbs have some use but neither is a super wow skill at this point in time. In PvP i think the debuff one is a bit more annoying and it follows and ticks faster while the heal one will probably only get its one delayed heal tick off maybe before it dies. In PvE the damage orb at least sorta adds a bit more to your damage but shai's grinding usually is pretty fluid and the clunky animation of casting slowly, you could probably be half done with your pack.

    Florag:

Tumble Wumble! - Long range florang throw that gives dp buff to self, has a really long range but its slow as all hell, has a rather underwhelming forward guard to it as well.

Twirl-BOOM! - a PvE DPS burst skill, has pretty decent pve damage and has 25% bonus crit chance on the skill itself so its not bad, also has decent range so can be helpful when pulling packs. its also a lot faster to cast.

Twirl boom seems to be the better skill to take as its better in PvE and neither has PvP usage as the 10 dp buff on tumble wumble isnt worth the horrendous cast time and animation of the skill. However even twirl-BOOM has a bit of delay between the input/hotkey of the skill and i found myself not wanting to use it while grinding as it kinda slowed things down from the pace of shais usual flow.

Both skills have a "Chance to obtain 3 florins leaf shard" but im not 100% sure what the "chance" is on them.

Personal choices are Over There! and Twirl-BOOM! since they appear to be more useful. Heal orb just dies too fast to like any class (even another friggin shai) to be useful.

Would love to hear the opinions of other shai players and have a nice discussion going!

Is it worth it to do Main Story quests if you have already completed it before on another character?

    Posted: 13 May 2020 01:55 PM PDT

I did it on my striker a long time ago and i'm unsure whether its worth doing on my guardian.
