BDO Account Ban Part 3, My Time Isn’t Free

    Hello once again r/blackdesertonline!

This is a continuation of the story posted here. To the mods, im sorry if this is getting too spammy, but I received a large number of messages and comments asking me to post updates to the situation so here it is.

So I've received word from PA support tonight on the status of my account. The good news is they're willing to restore my account to me! The bad news is I can't help but have an poor taste in my mouth after reading their reply.

I've blacked out the transaction numbers for privacy reasons, but I've left the rest of their response intact.

So as expected, they have requested that I return the amount refunded in order to restore access to my account. That much is fine, expected even. What i have trouble with lies in the second paragraph.

In an effort to protect your account and avoid preventable chargebacks we've gone ahead and preemptively refunded these transactions:

So in this statement, the PA rep admits that it was PA that initiated the refunds. In that case, why was I the one being hounded by Terminal3 to explain the refunds if they were the ones that initiated them in the first place? Turns out, when i called PayPal to ask why these refunds happened, and they told me only the merchant could perform refunds like that, they were actually being straight with me! This again raises the question of why in the world did Terminal3 deny that they were responsible for the refunds after I gave them PayPal's response?

GM Tshira continues to explain why my Account was banned:

In accordance with our Terms of Use and Operational Policies, we have suspended your account until the balance of these transactions are repaid in full through the following steps:

Note their use of "suspended", which to me signifies that they never intended this to be a permanent action. After all, looking at the prior highlighted quote would imply this was always meant to be a temporary action while they performed this investigation. Tell me, does this email imply anything of the sort?

Nothing about that email explains that they initiated the refunds, or that this was the result of an investigation, or that it was a "suspension". To me that email clearly states that I was "abusing" their system, and permanently banned as a result.

Now in a vacuum there's nothing wing with this kind of a response. If I'd received this response to my ticket the day after it happened (hell even a week after) it would've been entirely different. Still shitty, but understandable and resolvable.

Instead it took (as mentioned in my prior post) nearly 40 emails, days of phone calls to T3, PP, PA, my bank, everyone and anyone I could think of, all the while receiving total radio silence from PA. If not for this YouTube video I'm doubtful I would've ever heard from them.

During that time my (Premium) VP, Old Moon, Kama Blessing all continued to tick down. I've missed at least 6000 loyalty, 1,560 pearls, 30 lootscrolls and 90 BSA rolls alone, just from not being able to log in. All of the events currently running including the boss heart drops, 5,460 guru cooking boxes, 353 energy across 13 characters, 90 barter refreshes.... you all play the game, I don't need to tell you what 30 days of progress looks like. All lost through no fault of my own and entirely out of my control.

Not even so much as an apology, an "our bad you went through so much trouble for this", let alone a mention of compensation for what I listed above. Nope, instead I get a copy paste reply with a "pay us $X in the next 14 days or kick rocks kid."

Good to know they couldn't be bothered to give me a reply for a full month, but when they want their money back I'm the one with the 14 day deadline.

How do you best utilize the storage space in each town?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2021 04:14 PM PDT

Okay, so here's a question that I'd love to get opinions on from people who have been there, done that. I started in March and I made my alts, I don't get too much time to play on weekdays but I'm having fun just working on my main, or leveling up alts and once that's done I'll begin to decide who lands where in the world and what their job will be; however, right now I'm wondering what to do with my storage in every town as they're filling up fast.

So I came from WoW, in which I basically stockpiled everything "in case" until the new expansion dropped and then I'd clear out my bank, mailbox and bags and start fresh. Often things would go to waste because I'd just sit on them in case.

Now, I know that's a different game entirely aside from the MMO aspect, but I've already found that I'm saving things in this game "in case," and I'm thinking that's maybe the wrong way to do it? Right now as I play characters, I'll hit towns and somewhat empty my bags into storage for things I may need later.

Now I'm not talking Shards or things that can be sold or used down the line. Those I'll be saving for now, as I'm not sure who will have what role, but once I do it'll be nice to have a bit of stock on that front. I'm talking more about the random items that drop from mobs that fill up your bags quickly, but also aren't vendor junk.

I'm getting over the "saving gear" part of it. I've learned to feed most to my fairy, especially if it's under 100k; but things like, "Go hand 100 of these in for 10G Bar for every 100" things I have piled up, or random drops that I got that I didn't realize were a "Click RMB to begin the quest" or...just things like that. Lots of juices, or in Velia I have a lot of my daily chest rewards (Oasis juices, skill point booklets, chests with pots in them, etc...) and things are filling up with stuff that I'm just not sure is relevant in the limited space given.

Are there things I should just not bother with holding onto when they land in my bags? Should I just take some playtime and do all those "Click RMB" quests for things in my inventory, or are those not worth it? I have a lot of those Bronze Coins, Silver Coins, which I've learned from their not stacking that they should go to different places? Are those worth taking around or do most just toss them?

Thanks for any help. I basically just want to make sure I'm not cluttering up my storage units with stuff that I should just be throwing away and or should be taking care of right away...but I also don't want to be throwing away things that may be useful later on or helpful to building up CP or the likes throughout my journey!
