    The Problem With Node Wars/Siege

    As we all know, overall interest and participation in node war and siege has been on a steady decline since they were first introduced to the game. Now, some of this is natural due to the games age, but I think a large part of it has to do with the mechanics, and rewards, of these large scale fights just not being worth the average player/guilds time to invest in. As such, I'd like to propose a few changes that I believe will help the scene.

    - Change max guild cap size to 75 members.

    The biggest difference in power between a #1 guild and a #3 guild, is not their top 50 members. It's the bottom 50 that hold the weaker guild back. Reducing the guild size from 100 to 75 helps mitigate the power gap differential, while also having the added bonus of giving room for brand new guilds to form.

    - Increase Node/Siege payouts.

    When node wars and siege first came out, if you won a siege, the payout was equal to around 10 hours of active grinding at the best grind spots in the game. This was a huge deal. If you weren't actively in a siege guild, or contesting one sitting in the castle, you were allowing rival guilds to gain an enormous advantage over your guild. The payout for winning siege today is less than an hour of grinding, which is laughably low.

    - Eliminate Snipe guilds on anything higher than t1's.

    Anyone actively looking for a good node/siege fight knows how frustrating it is when you buff up for a war, that ends up being nothing but empty stick guilds. It's incredibly discouraging and immediately puts a bad taste in your mouth. This was solved a few years ago, when the dev's made it so you could only drop a stick if you had x number of members online. For some reason, this was removed, and now we're left with endless snipe guilds trying to leech a small amount of silver, while ruining the node war/siege scene.

    - Eliminate 35% of the nodes.

    Currently, there are far too many nodes in the game, making it incredibly difficult to find a fight. Reducing the number of nodes would increase the likelihood of an actual fight occurring, while also hurting snipe guilds. Win-win.

    - Nerf cannon placements and remove flame cannon balls.

    I think we've all seen cannons placed on top of a tree, or some other ridiculous spot that makes them near impossible to destroy. And given how impactful cannons are, the ability to abuse them by dropping them in cheese locations needs to be removed.

    As for flame cannon balls, these have for years caused enormous amounts of lag/dsync in nodes/siege. And considering how laggy these large scale fights are on their own, the last thing we need is a non essential part of nodes/siege adding to that.

    To recap, node war and sieges have been in a rough state for years now. And I think everyone would love to see them make a come back. Even if you don't actively participate in node wars or siege, almost anyone can appreciate the memes/drama/fights they bring to the community.

    Can I use two Family Name Change coupons in one week?

    I used one on the morning all of the old names became available and now I kind of want to pick a diff one than the one I chose lol :(

    Admittedly I'm pretty stupid for picking a family name I wasn't 100% into, and I don't mind buying another family name change coupon to remedy that mistake, but I'm just not sure if I can change it before the first one I used has gone through since there's not been a maintenance yet. Not sure if anyone would even be able to answer this, but I'd appreciate any responses!

    Ranger Succ vs Archer

    Hey guys;

    I am an old MMO player with archer classes. I always have fun snipping people from afar, and being a great threat to the enemy lines.

    I would like to hear players that have experience in both classes for massive (ranger and archer). What class do you think is the best for node wars/sieges?

    You can also say things about PVE and PvP x1 if you want too, but my main focus here is Massive PVP!

    I just started playing and I just now reached the point where I can be in a pvp server and my friends and I almost immediately got massacred by a baby and it's demon bear.

    It happened so fast. It's 5 of us and they were sparring with me basically teaching me how to play Guardian defensively in a fight. Then out of nowhere this tiny pink baby of a character and a gigantic demon bear yeets my friend who plays the girl with the ice into the air and deletes his health. Then the baby's demon bear mauls my other friend as the baby creates like a dome??? Of black blood at least that what it looks like, and kills him too. I tried to run away and call my horse but the baby chased me down on its demon bear and sliced me to death before I could call it. My other two friends suffered the same fate.

    My friends Then proceeded to jump the baby and the demon bear in another server because they remembered it's psn name. They were so mad, but honestly I just want to learn that character now.

    We eventually went back to sparring but God that was unsettling. The character was so small.

    Edit: It was a tamer. I want to be a tamer now. I'm gonna watch videos on all these characters I should have done that before I picked guardian.

    Hi, I am just a new player who uses sage and I am kinda confused about this succession awakening thing that's gonna happen soon to myself, I am currently level 30ish, and my main question is, if I choose 1 over the other, is that me locked to that choice, or am I flexible enough to swap at anytime?

    Ryzen 5 3400g/4650g performance on bdo?

    Graphic cards prices sky rocketed in my country due to miners, even the used ones and i just can't afford a decent one atm.. So, Have anyone played bdo on a ryzen 5 3400g/ 4650g apu would tell me how many frames they're getting? with a 2x8 3000 mhz ram

    BDO - XBOX Version on PC?

    Hi All,

    Does anyone know if there is a way to play BDO xbox version on PC without streaming it from the xbox itself? All my buddies play the xbox version. Tried streaming it and it just bugs out. I guess I could HDMI to the PC, but I would prefer not to do that. any suggestions?
