Lahn lore, and awakening

Hi! I thought I 'll summarize every class' lore, and awakening story. The first one is Lahn. ;)

She was found as a baby, under a glorious orchid, in the forest surrounding a castle, named Kirin. When she was found, a rumor spread that she was the Goddess of Orchids, who was reborn into this realm, so the king took her, and swore to raise her as his own.

Tho she was very talented, the king didn't let her take up any martial arts. He only allowed her to learn ceremonial sword dances, which she performed at festivals. Despite this, she had access to knowledge, she honed her mind under the tutelage of the kingdom's greatest sages.

At 16, she joined the Shrine Guardians, and became one of the king's advisors. She always showed compassion towards the oppressed subjects of the king, so she was beloved by people.

Thanks to a traitorous courtier's advice, the cruel king became jealous of Lahn's popularity so he put her into house arrest, and she was only let out to perform her duties as a Shrine Guardian.

One night, a young man, who saw Lahn perform at festivals, climbed the walls of her estate. After introducing himself, as Yeung-Reung Hyiang, he offered to train with her, and teach her martial arts.

As years passed, they became good friends. Lahn grew up to be a wise, compassionate, graceful woman, Yeung became the hero of the common people.

But the king became more and more paranoid, because of the traitorous courtier's machinations. He decided to destroy Lahn, and Yeung. He sent them to occupy an enemy castle, but the soldiers, by the king's order, turned against them, and tried to kill them both. Although they managed to defend themselves, Yeung was mortally wounded. With his dying breath he begged Lahn to flee to the western continent.

Grieving she arrived at the western continent, and led a solitary lifestyle. She dedicated her time to hone her fighting skills.

One day, Yeung appeared before her. As the pupil of sages, she knew that the spirits of the deceased sometimes stayed on the mortal plain.. Yeung offered, to help her find a weapon, which will grant them the power to return to their country, and exact revenge of the king, and free the people.

After several days, they found two glaives half buried in the ground, but when Lahn touched it, a dark shadow slowly spread from the weapon, crawling up her fingers, arm, corrupting her soul.

As the panicked Lahn looked at her best friend in alarm, he transformed into the traitorous courtier. He he mocked her, and revealed that he needed her to unlock the power of the Crimson Glaives, so he could take its power for himself. The courtier took out a black stone, harnessed its power, and attacked Lahn. Vengeful and angry, she killed him.

The Crimson Glaives took over her mind, and she wandered the land, leaving a trail of death and destruction behind her, until she was possessed by the Black Spirit, and lost her memories.

Awakening

Following the instructions of the Black Spirit, Lahn found a man, near the Omar Lava caves, who came from the same eastern country she was from. He was called Heyen, and asked her to defeat a monster he was tracking.

Facing the mutant wandering giant, it recognized her, and greeted her with a knowing, cruel smile. After defeating it, Heyen revealed that the mutant giant was a simple bandit, possessed, by the vengeful spirit of someone Lahn killed in the past. He decided not to intervene, but told her to follow the pull of the dark energy, she felt since she came to Mediah.

She arrived at the Canyon of corruption, where she found the Crimson Glaives, half buried in the ground. The sentient weapon greeted her with familiarity, and called her its master. It promised power, and her memories in exchange for proof of her dedication.

She slew all the enemies the Glaives asked her to kill. And true to its word, the Glaives revealed her tragic past, and explained that the mutant giant was controlled by the spirit of the evil courtier, who tricked her into accepting the dark power of the Glaives, and was killed by Lahn.

The Crimson Glaives sent her, to cause pain, destruction, and death. After she completed the tasks given by the sentient weapon, she was able to touch, wield, and reabsorb its power. This time however, her mind remained her own.

I used the knowledge entries we got by doing the awakening quest. (Knowledge entries: Fragmented memory#1,2,3; Lahn's Memory: Destruction, Pain, Death), and the quest dialogue, to reconstruct her story.
