Classes ranked by how many skill points it takes to unlock everything.

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 08:18 PM PDT

I got bored and did some math. You're welcome.

Please note that each column is the total of all the columns before it plus the skills in that category. This tally does not care about builds. It just wants to know how many skill points until you run out of things to spend them on.

The calculator I used didn't mark mutually exclusive skills as mutually exclusive, so some of these final numbers are larger than you can reach in-game. Blame BDOcodex, not me.

Class Base skills Awakening Succession Rank
    Shai 658 1113 N/A 19th
    Archer 1608 2283 N/A 18th
    Striker 1537 2355 3291 17th
    Ninja 1774 2612 3291 16th
    Lahn 1673 2473 3296 15th
    Sorceress 1882 2700 3394 14th
    Maehwa 1829 2667 3424 13th
    Warrior 1906 2757 3424 12th
    Tamer 1988 2809 3427 11th
    Berserker 1843 2680 3429 10th
    Mystic 1516 2578 3443 9th
    Musa 1837 2675 3443 8th
    Valkyrie 1949 2787 3452 7th
    Kunoichi 1820 2658 3464 6th
    Ranger 1658 2598 3575 5th
    Guardian 1852 2730 3579 4th
    Dark Knight 1936 2754 3690 3rd
    Witch 1903 2691 4039 2nd
    Wizard 1903 2691 4069 1st

    Even more pointless trivia:

    • While the two classes without a succession needing the least points was to be expected, Shai takes less than half the number of skill points to max out as Archer
    • It would take 3396 points to max out both a Shai and an Archer, which is less than than it would to max out most classes with a succession individually. Only Striker, Ninja, Lahn, and Sorceress take less points than the two lowest combined.
    • There is a 2926 point gap between maxing out a Wizard and maxing out a Shai.
    • Despite being the most expensive to max out completely, Wizard only has the 5th most expensive base skill set.
    • Tamer has the most expensive base skill set, despite only being 11th in total.

I explored Valencia city for the first time and i love this game!

Okay so a bit of a back story too if you don't mind.

I was always a big MMO fan (tried tons of f2p ones, but mainly only playing WoW), and i started playing this game maybe 2-3 years ago, but never got hooked on it for some reason, i always played for a few days, then i would quit for months.

A few weeks ago i returned to it, and decided to finally do the whole main story, as i was confused by how short the Calpheon story felt (i only realized this time that there is a whole main questline for each region) also exploring a bit.

So fast-forward to this day, i'm here, absolutely loving the game with it's world, mechanics, little details, rolling a Guardian was one of my best choices, this is the class i love the most by far. I'm not a hardcore player, not trying to be, but i love every minute playing this game. Sorry for this random story time, but i just got so attached to this game lately lol.

    Class Base Stats

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 06:39 PM PDT

Hey, I was wondering if there was a way to know the base stats for the different classes, specifically the base carry weight. Was thinking about doing an iron man challenge where I don't use the bank or marketplace, and knowing these things would help inform my decision. Thanks :3

    PVE Awakening Classes

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 09:41 PM PDT

Hi all, I'm trying to find a class that is good at grinding at around 261 kutum+ areas.

Are there any awakening classes besides Sorc that are still really good PVE for awakening in 2020? I know there are quite a bit of Succ classes that are good, but am wondering for awakening. Thanks!

just put BDO on an SSD and im blown away

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 09:26 PM PDT

I used to play BDO a while ago (around sorc awakening) and my PC was significantly worse, so i just took the lag and frame drops as my PC being awful

I heavily upgraded my GPU, mobo and CPU last year and recently wanted to get back into BDO, but the graphical issues were worse than ever which i assumed was just due to either the remaster update, or poor optimization

After spending hours searching for every fix i could, i decided the last course was to finally get the SSD i'd been putting off on, and see if that worked.

Its instantly fixed every issue completely, I cant believe how smooth everything is, and i can walk around towns without dropping to 10 frames, or having to wait 3 minutes for NPC's to load

So excited to get back into it, see you all out there soon!
