    NA T1 Balenos "Siege" Weekly Report: Week 5

    NA Tier 1 Balenos "Siege" Weekly Report Preface: Recently some guilds in the T1 node war scene have decided to fight for Cron Castle every Monday on "Cron Castle Site". This node is a 40 man T1 easy, 230AP/260dp gear cap. The winning guild of Cron Castle Site will place inside of the castle the following week and gain the title of "King/Queen of Cron Castle". The winners will have to defend the castle from all other guilds who decide to place the next week, forging alliances or making enemies along the way. This week marks the 5th official week of Tier 1 Balenos Siege with the guild CrawlingChaos successfully defeating 3 other guilds to acquire Cron Castle this week. Let's take a look into who showed up and what may happen in the future:

    CrawlingChaos: This marks CrawlingChaos' first official victory for T1 siege, with them taking down the 3 other guilds Wartorn, FlatIsJustice, and OrderOfYokai. This week was especially interesting in terms of the fights that went down, as Crawling decided to initially ally with the incumbent Cron Castle holders FlatIsJustice, to take down Wartorn. Normally we see all challenging guilds ally to clear the castle first, then fight it out to determine the next week's winner, however Crawling had different plans. After Wartorn went down in the initial 2v1 of Crawling & Flat, Crawling immediately headed to Flat's castle and began the assault. Working together with OrderOfYokai, Crawling managed multiple elephant pushes into the base and got some nice wipes, leading to Flat being deannexed within the first 10 mins. Multiple flags were used to keep constant pressure on Flat, and utilizing the castle walls for casters made the fight very exciting and non-stop for the majority of 50 minutes, until Flat finally fell. Finally, Crawling took out OrderofYokai to win this week's T1 siege. Overall amazing coordination from CrawlingChaos and some amazing pushes onto the defenders and Wartorn. Looking forward to next week's siege with them on the defense.

    FlatIsJustice: This week Flat defended the castle site once again, initially planning to face off against the 3 other guilds who placed, however a last minute ally with Crawling allowed Flat to push outside the castle and pincer Wartorn in a 20 minute fast paced fight at the start of the war. After the first quick push from Wartorn onto Flat's base (with a decent amount of annex damage done), the initial focus on Wartorn allowed Flat to upgrade barricades and set necessary traps for the coming pushes, and begin preparation for the 2v1. After Wartorn went down, Flat initially pushed to Yokai, but quickly retreated to defend the castle for the rest of the war. Overall Flat had some great defense pushes onto the attacking guilds, managing to hold for about 50 mins after the castle assault began. Flat attempted to apply flex pressure on Crawling for a large portion of the war, however they were met with a very strong defense and were unable to stop elephants and flag placements. With Crawling's constant pressure on the castle, Flat was unable to send out their main platoons out to meet open field without risking the loss due to the long respawn timers by this point in the war. Overall, Flat showed up very strong compared to the last time they defended castle. Certainly exciting to see the great coordination from the guild and stronger defense against the attackers.

    Wartorn: Wartorn expected, like Flat, to be pushing the castle immediately before fighting Crawling and Yokai after the castle was liberated, however this would not be the case this week. The last second alliance between Flat and Crawling caught Wartorn completely off-guard leading to a 1v2 very early into the war. Despite the early disadvantage being vastly outnumbered, Wartorn still held very strongly for 20 minutes before falling, managing to wipe both guilds at some points when attention was shifted to a specific attacker. Utilizing some interesting choke points and walls near the base allowed for some great Archer and Witchard damage to be dished out into the Flat and Crawling forces, but in the end their fate was sealed and ultimately fell to the hands of Crawling and Flat. Overall still a strong showing for Wartorn, managing to hold off 40v80 for 20 mins at the start of the war. It will be interesting to see what they have planned for next week.

    OrderOfYokai: Initially showed up to attack Flat immediately, but confusion arose regarding the current plans about trying to attack Wartorn first. However after Wartorn went down, Yokai and CrawlingChaos pushed into Flat's castle albeit with quite a lot of cross-fire. Eventually in the end, Yokai was taken out by Crawling to signal the end of this week's T1 siege.

    This week was quite a different T1 siege with CrawlingChaos deviating from the normal order of fights. It was exciting to see them pick up the initial ally with the defending guild, then go for the prize with their own power. We might be seeing a change in the node for T1 siege, with more and more voices desiring a fight on a T1 hard. Ehwaz Hill is currently a 55 man T1 hard within the same node war zone, and is set to occur on Fridays. The current winners of T1 siege can now decide which node they would like to place for the following week, so we may be seeing a mix up in the day/node/cap for future sieges. The spirit of T1 siege will still remain, with a predetermined spot that the winner will place, with the attacking guilds trying to push out the current holders. Hopefully with the upcoming change, a more diverse set of guilds will decide to place. Looking forward to next week and until then, CrawlingChaos will hold the title of "King of Cron Castle".

    I recently turned in 2166 petals and here are my results from the 1083 fairies I received:

    Radiant (T4) Brilliant (T3) Glimmering (T2) Faint (T1)
    2 (0.184%) 49 (4.524%) 282 (26.038%) 750 (69.252%)

    The sample size is way to small to get a decent numbers on T4 and T3s but at least we can get an idea of their values from this.

    Edit: Forgot to mention in total this was 1,910 sweet honey wine if sold on the auction house on NA server atm would be about 1 mill silver per laila petal vs the 500k you get from selling to an NPC... although it took me 1 hour 40 minutes to turn all these petals into fairies and into wine.

    Large bird pet?

    So I was just running around Heidel and some dude ran buy with a huge blue bird pet. Like it was three times the size of any bird pet I've ever seen. It had like two individual long tail feathers and it was like baby blue. Do pets get larger with tiers? I didn't think so. Google isn't finding anything..
