    BDO 1v1 Powerband Rankings (Pre-GLab changes)

    In a bid to come up with a "better tier list" to accurately reflect the current standings of each class in a purely 1v1 Test Character scenario, I have collaborated with the top players on the SEA server to come up with a "Powerband Chart" which can be found here.

    What the chart aims to do:

    1. Provide a reasonable estimation on the maximum potential of a class;
    2. Provide a reasonable estimation on how well the class performs in the hands of an average player;
    3. Indicate the level of skill required to play each class;
    4. Allow players to identify which classes are "balanced", and which of the classes desperately need work;
    5. Showcase the variance in performance between classes across the board; &
    6. Enable rookie players to make a better, and more informed, decision on which class to play if they are interested in the PvP aspect of the game.

    How the chart works:

    • Numbers on the left represent power levels.
    • Caps and floors are determined by the potential of the class in the hands of an extremely skilled or rookie player, respectively.
    • Modes are determined by the performance of a class in the hands of an average player, i.e. 50th percentile.
    • Tier equivalents aid in contextualizing power levels to conventional tier rankings.

    Caveats:

    • Power levels are not indicative of direct matchups, but rather the relative performance of the class across the board against all other classes.
    • Individual performances may vary; you may feel that, based on anecdotal experience, you are performing higher or lower than the mode. Please remember that the mode is there to aid benchmarking of the "average" player.
    • Just because a class has a higher power level ranking does not mean that it is impossible to be beaten by another class with a lower power ranking; all it means is that the class with the higher power level has an advantage across the board. Again, the power levels are not indicative of individual matchups.
    • Test characters and 1v1s are used as the primary format as that is the most "fair" basis upon which we can rank the classes.

    I'd like to extend a huge shout-out of appreciation to the players involved in the creation of this chart; your discussions, opinions, and input were invaluable to the gestalt of this project.

    We will likely be updating the chart again in about a fortnight's time after the Global Lab changes have hit and have had some time to stabilize, look forward to that as well!

    Edit: used terms of "Test" and "rookie" to bypass automod removal as it kept flagging this as a "rookie" player question.

    Edit 2: Changed "Median" to "Mode" based on a suggestion from Memelin.

    BDO 1v1 arena - Am I the only one who would welcome it?

    what do you think about 1v1 arenas in BDO with respect to balance changes on global lab?
    I will be happy to see any type of this content (leaderboard, matchmaking 1v1 arena or similar concept).

    Chance of getting +3 earring during event

    As I completely forgot all the formulae from probability theory and don't want to figure it out again I created simple script in ruby to calculate probability of succeeding in latest accessory event. It is not counting situation when you got your earring to something like +1 with zero durability (but it should be rare if you are switching to new earring as soon as you dropped to zero on your enhancing).

    Here is the script that I used. Chance of eventually hitting +3 in 12 days is:

    ~ 58.8%.

    EDIT:

    New script with durability. Added durability to earrings and limited them to 12 (number of days for event). Using non optimal strategy of just choosing every time maximum rang and most durable earring still got almost same result of ~58.6%. I don't think there is any worth in trying to implement any other enhancement strategy as chance can't get better than without any durability and even simplest strategy gives you practically same chance of succeeding.

    Ok, peeps, listen up: I wanna go for that sweet full PEN tuvala. The problem: I started to play 20 days ago and I do not know the best way to get there from where I am right now.

    Where am I right now you ask?

    TET helm, armor, gloves, boots, necklace, belt, one earring and awakened weapon. The rest is PEN already.

    What do we have to work with you ask?

    Silver? One billion. Valk's Advice? One +18, seven +20, one +30, one +39, three +60. FS? one +88, one +31. Time-filled BS? 1400. Tuvala ore? 90. Refined BS? 27 =/ Potatoes? 2818.

    Some +14 reblath/militia and some PRI green gear to fs.

    I guess the million question now is: from here, what is the best way to have that nice full PEN set by the end of the season?

    I made during about 16 hours 282 beers using 9329 Leaving Agent, which means it have around 3% chance to get beer when simple cooking.

    [Console] Account Reactivation issue.

    Upon trying to login to the console site it said my account was marked for deletion. The email sent goes to a page that fails to load and says please try again later in a prompt.. Been trying all night. Any ideas? cant access support page as far as i can tell either because of inactive status

    Random Disconnecting/ bad de sync in rbf

    Hi Guys have been playing for a long time and have always had random disconnects but it has gotten worse. I either get to the reconnecting screen or just straight crash. Dont think it is a PC issue I have 1080, 16Gb Ram, SSD, 3800x, of course cox internet too and Ethernet into computer. curious what other people have done to try to fix this issue and have they have done to mitigate it, I have heard of exitlag and have used it once or twice but did not see much results.
