| Ban because SOMEONE refunded me - support does not care. Posted: 21 Feb 2021 11:55 AM PST So. This might sound like its made up but read through the end. I dont know what to do. Maybe someone experienced something similar or can tell me how to solve this. Me and my partner took a break of the game early december because we spent too much time and money in the game. Around christmas i received a tiny refund from kakao via paypal. We logged into our accounts to check why - it just said that some packs got "cancelled". I also received a refund from apple which stated it was due to Covid-19 and the reduced german tax during 2020 so i thought it was a similar thing for bdo. Fast forward the account transfer process starts and me and my partner wanted to transfer our accounts in case we want to start playing again and so we dont lose the progress we made in almost 5 years. The system told me permanently banned accounts cant transfer. I downloaded the game again and logged in - banned. We never received an email or any notification about it - i probably should have looked more into the refunds but i didnt so the best thing i could do was to contact customer support... Support took quite some time to respond and this is what i got
My response was that i never requested a chargeback for these transactions.
You would think there should be no problem. I am willing to pay the money i got out of nowhere and the problem is solved. But Kakao says that it is not possible anymore. I tried explaining the situation that i did not request a chargeback on these transactions and that i am willing to pay the difference and that there is no logical explanation to how and why that happened. To go into detail: My partner got 2x10€ and i got a 30€ pack refunded. Those were from months ago. We spent thousands over the years, the accounts exist since release and we got tons of stuff that you can only buy with pearls (maids, weight, inventory, lodging, etc.). Why would i chargeback a total of 50€ if i spent like 10x the amount in a shorter time and the non-marketplace pearl items (maids, naderrs band, ... you know what i mean!) across all characters are far, far more expensive than 50€.
Right now i am in contact with everyone more or less involved. PA told me i should get back to Kakao. Paypal sent me a written confirmation that the chargeback was not caused by me or paypal - this leaves Kakao or Payment Wall as the ones who caused the chargeback. I really dont care why or how or whatever it is. I want to pay the money back so we can access the accounts again. The sum that is missing from the account is basically nothing compared to the money and time we spent on them just in 2020 during Covid-19. They dont even try to offer any solution and i got proof that the chargeback is not caused by my side. They basically just tell me that their system does not allow me to pay 50€ to get the accounts back and because of this we have to accept it and say goodbye to our accounts. I am in touch with Payment Wall about the cause of the refund but it takes time and they want me to send them my ID and everything - which i am going to do - but the time is running and Kakao already said that even if i can solve it with Payment Wall it will not change anything. I just dont know what to do anymore. Kakao simply doesnt care and dont want to find a solution. ******************Update 1****************** After a lot of e-mails and verification steps Payment Wall said that the refunds were made by kakao. They also said they sent a message to Kakao on my behalf regarding the removal of the restrictions on my account. Sadly, they are not allowed to provide more details. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 21 Feb 2021 06:46 PM PST Busy working boomer dad here that still loves to grind/play in MMO's for a few hours in the evening after I hang out with the family. Flashy combat is most important to me, with some kind of worthwhile solo grind(s) keeping it interesting. My problem is, and I'll use WoW Shadowlands as an example, it's so tiring wanting to do some fun stuff and having to sit or sift through group finder to find people. And then when you finally get in that M+14-15 run 30 minutes later, someone makes a mistake and the entire group falls apart. Before you know it you just wasted almost an hour and you barely accomplished anything at all. With that said, is BDO worth checking out? [link] [comments] | ||

| Tet BS Awakening Vs Pen Dandelion Posted: 21 Feb 2021 10:09 PM PST I'm seeing most people are saying that tet blackstar awakening is so much better than pen dandelion for awakening pve. Is that true? I'm looking at their stats and it seems tet BS only has 12 AP against monsters more and 1 more sheet AP which can easily be solved by 1 caphras level in dande. So my question is, tet bs is around 15+ bil on marketplace rn and pen dand is like 11.5b, is that additional 12 ap against monsters worth that 3-4 billion gold. I have always been more of a PvE player, and from what I understand, BDO does not have dungeons or raids. What kind of PvE content does BDO offer? Playing with other people is important to me, not looking for a game that is mostly solo. Since its a PvP based game, will I easily be killed by players who have been playing this for years and are years ahead on the gear progression? Is it somehow possible to catch up to them? I am not looking to have the best gear within a month. TLDR What does this game have to offer? Looking for a new mmo to invest thousands of hours in the next few years, since none of the other MMO's like WOW,ESO,GW2 have pulled me away from FFXIV. [link] [comments] | ||
