Posted: 22 Feb 2021 12:47 AM PST Question is simple in your opinion what lifeskill in BDO needs the biggest rework, why do you think so, and what do you think should be done in the rework? So no saying, "Alchemy is busted it needs a rework!" that doesn't explain why or what needs to be done. I will start. I think that if PA was going to rework one lifeskill I think it would have to be trading. My reason for this is that it is only profitable at the absolutely highest level, it takes a long time to make returns and it is outshined by pretty much all other lifeskills even hunting. It is also one of two lifeskills I would consider truly inaccessible to new players, the other being bartering. As for what I think could be done to fix trading I would say lower the weight of trash and low tier crates so players can transfer more, increase their value slightly about 5-10% or so, and allow players to craft them. I think this could greatly increase players getting into trading while also clearing the massive surplus of basic items on the central market such as timber, ore, gems, and the like. This would turn trading into a very effective way for players to make some returns on their otherwise unused items somewhat efficiently even at a low level while also not ruining what already established traders have going for them. What other lifeskills do you think need a rework, why, and what should be done? [link] [comments] | ||

Does it really make any difference with damage output if i only use awakening? | PEN Kzarka vs TET Blackstar comparison Posted: 22 Feb 2021 10:13 AM PST Hi, I'm currently trying to upgrade my gear and has come to a point where I have to decide between upgrading my TET Kzarka into PEN or if I should instead swap it out with a TET Blackstar. My current AP is at 266 without the transition buff and a TET Kzarka C3. If I were to get my Kzarka into PEN C3 I would be sitting at 273 AP and have a total of 273+142=415 AP In comparison if I got TET Blackstar I would be sitting at 272 AP which would be 272+137=409 AP But then you also have to take the monster AP into account which would put the weapons at: PVP: Blackstar 272+137 (409) vs Kzarka 273+142 (415) which is -6 for Blackstar PVE: Blackstar 409+14 (423) vs Kzarka 415 which is +14 for Blackstar If we go further though and think of the future the TET Blackstar wouldn't be able to reach any brackets if I just miss 1 AP, for example being at 272 I would have to get a PEN accessory to get that 273 bracket whereas I could put caphras into the PEN Kzarka and just get that 1ap without needing a new accessory. For example if I get a PEN accessory upgrade like my PEN Capotia ring to a PEN Crescent ring TET Blackstar would be sitting at 275+142=417 the new stats would be like this: PVP: Blackstar 275+142 (417) vs Kzarka 276+142 (418) which is -1 for Blackstar PVE: Blackstar 417+14 (431) vs Kzarka 418 which is +13 for Blackstar And if we take Kzarka and look on that instead getting a PEN accessory would put it at 276 AP and getting that 1 extra AP to reach the 277 bracket would only require C5 which is easily doable. After that the stats would be like this: PVP: Blackstar 275+142 (417) vs Kzarka 277+148 (425) which is -8 for Blackstar PVE: Blackstar 417+14 (431) vs Kzarka 425 which is +6 for Blackstar And from this point if you want to make Blackstar better it would have to be through more PEN accessories which would also make the Kzarka even stronger, next PEN accessory would put them at: PVP: Blackstar 278+148 (426) vs Kzarka 280+148 (428) which is -2 for Blackstar PVE: Blackstar 426+14 (440) vs Kzarka 428 which is +12 for Blackstar However at this point you could caphras Kzarka to C7 which would put it at the new 281 bracket: PVP: Blackstar 278+148 (426 vs Kzarka 281+154 (435) which is -8 for Blackstar PVE: Blackstar 426+14 (440) vs Kzarka 435 which is +5 for Blackstar I think the numbers should add up, correct me if they don't. But in conclusion: It doesn't matter what stage you're at, Kzarka will ALWAYS be better for PVP and Blackstar will continue to better than Kzarka for PVE up to a certain point I haven't bothered looking into (way too far into the future for me). Anyways, what I wanted to ask you all on reddit about is basically, even if im mainly a PVE player and don't do any nodewars, the only PVP I do is Duel for spot whenever those happen or to have some fun with friends in 1v1 sometimes, should I go for Kzarka since I assume the 5-14 monster AP from Blackstar won't help me a whole lot, while the 6-8 AP from Kzarka in PVP would help me a lot in PVP? I'm unsure of how important AP is when it comes to high end grinding spots as well as in PVP when you start reaching higher AP brackets. -----------------Quick Edit----------------- Forgot to mention that it's also possible to get to 277 AP through caphras alone on Kzarka with C11 in my case so it would be a lot cheaper than getting a PEN accessory which even further supports that Kzarka is the better option to go for at least from what I can see.
