Class balance is not the reason why pvp is shit Pt2 Posted: 20 May 2021 10:43 AM PDT So wheter or not the devs took notes of my last thread, 7/9 points got taken into consideration in their upcoming *balance* patch. So since it might have helped to give the devs some insights, lemme continue with some other things that could change; -Grabs are still not adressed; A cool change for this, which i heard on the partner's podcast yday, is if they could make a 'Parry' mechanic every class could have, where if u channel it for let's say 1 second and get grabbed, u counter the grab and cc ur opponent. -Slowstacking is still super oppresive even after the change that cap it at 50%. I think PA needs to look at the duration of said debuffs. 30% debuffs should last for 5s instead of 10s, and 50% debuffs for 3s instead of 5s. As for right now, most debuff skills can be applied almost permanently, leaving little counterplay to them. Another thing i would like to see is if they would introduce a 'cleanse' mechanic every class would have acces to that removes all debuffs(slows, evasion debuffs, dp debuffs etc) currently applied to u, on lets say a 1minute cooldown. -for SA blocks, the block meter should slowly go down when u hold block as its just too rewarding to hold Q. Now the ACTUAL and only reason why pvp is shit, has simply nothing to do with class balance. Even if every single class in bdo was perfectly balanced, pvp would still feel empty and unrewarding. Theres is NOT ENOUGH REWARDING PVP CONTENT IN BDO. The upcoming nodewars changes and bounty hunter system won't change this. I personally love that bountyhunter is finnaly getting added, but looking into the details of it makes it feel like its going to be DOA. Theres nothing in it for the bad guy, everyone will be a sheriff and its going to make griefing even worse. PA needs to quit rushing this content and put some tought in it. How could it be made fun? How could it be rewarding for both sides?.. Who wouldn't just love an arena that could be 3v3, 5v5, 10v10 with a small objective that gives meaningfull rewards? Well thats just my 2cents, i just hope to see some actual PVP/E content to get released into bdo that doesnt have to do with grinding the same monsters over and over. Max HP loss on death? Posted: 20 May 2021 10:24 PM PDT Hi, I'm pretty new to the game and while playing on my lv 58 ranger, I ended up jumping off a cliff by accident and dying. After respawning, I lost around 150 max hp. Is this supposed to happen? I searched for this through forums and all the answers are from a long time ago saying that you don't. Friend referral should grant access to Olvia(growth) servers Posted: 20 May 2021 10:04 PM PDT I find myself inviting new friends to play BDO with me and when they join the game I realize we can't play together because I can't go back to Olvia servers. The only way to allow me to play with my friend is if I had known 30 days ahead of time I was gonna want to play with someone new so I could get the returning status. I don't want to screw them out of the Olvia bonuses by asking them to come to my servers so we just end up not playing together and it sucks. I'm sure the game is losing a potential demographic of player because people don't bother trying to lure their friends to start playing. I think a good solution would be to give access to Olvia as a reward for a recruit-a-friend program. If you really wanted to limit it, make it so I can only access the Olvia servers when I'm grouped with that newly recruited friend. The two people I convinced to try playing with me quit after a few days because the game is punishing if you don't know what you're doing and it shines best when you play with other people. submitted by /u/martril [link] [comments]

Elvia weapon element dmg by grind spot Posted: 20 May 2021 04:56 PM PDT I did some searching, but i cant seem to find which element elvia weapon does the monst dmg in each grind spot. I read PA original post and it states certain elements are more effective in certain zones, but is there a list anywhere?
