Alright, listen to my story.

Two days ago, I was grinding at sherekhan, a few minutes left of drop scroll, and some guy came to the spot.

I told him that I just needed a few minutes before I go, he was okay with that, so I farmed until the scroll ran out.

After that, as a courtesy, I told him that I was leaving, and wished him good luck with the drops (he was a succ wizard, but still, there is a person behind the character so it is okay.)

It worked.

Funny coincidence right? Well, it isn't over.

Today, I was farming again at sherekhan, when I got one of those marni boxes, which makes a serverwide alert.

Some randon guy whispered me, telling me that he already had two, and we started chitchatting.

After speaking for a while, I told him about the "funny coincidence" of two days ago. Well, this happened:

I played on release, did a lot of fishing back then, joined a really fun guild during my high school graduation. It was a lot of fun. But at some point at the beginning of university I realized that it's too much time I'm burning up.

This friend... He started a few years after me with some of my old school friends. Now he's just a cash cow to this game who gets milked by the devs by the week. Every time we just chill in voice chat he seems to hate every single second playing the game, says he will finally quit and the next day he sinks another 400€.

I'm still subscribed to this sub because I liked the game on release. I see a lot of memes about how frustrating the game is but the underlying truth here is that I think a lot of people here might be experiencing similar addiction symptoms.

If BDO affects your real life, financially or time wise, please seek help. This shit can literally ruin your life.

My friend doesn't listen to advice. It feels like he's just too far gone. Maybe with this post I can reach someone who will learn from this.

Will the battlepass ever come back?

Before I started playing a few days ago, the YouTube reviews I've seen of the game had some kind of battlepass into them that seemed good value for money.

Been playing for 4 days now but no sign of it. Has it been removed? Will it ever come back?
